Previously the current kernel was used -- errored on unionfs. 3) Bug fixes in 'installBuffalo' Build_5_6 1) Bug fix in 'installBuffalo' to detect harddrive 2) Added detection of previous Buffalo, new option UPGRADE 3) Now remounts all Linux partitions in 'default' mode. (allows program execution) Build_4_5 1) Bug fix in 'resetLILO', only first bootable Windows partition is now included. 2) Updated to 'abiword-2.2.7-buff-1' 3) Fixed 'config' and 'System.map' symbolic links 4) Updated to 'firefox-1.0.4' 5) Updated to 'thunderbird-1.0.2' 6) Updated to 'gaim-1.3.0' 7) Fixed 'installBuffalo' to detect all hardrives and partitions 8) Updated to 'ncftp-3.1.9-i486-1' 9) Updated to 'glibc-2.3.5' Build_3_4 1) Created the 'whatis' database for 'apropos', etc. 2) Added 'sudo' to Multimedia menu items -- some devices were set for 'root' only -- couldn't track them all down hence this hack. 3) Added '-' flag to '/sbin/findcd' -- when now called at at 'reboot/halt' it should eject ALL CD devices. Build_2_3 1) Better control on Welcome HTML presentation. Some slow systems would remove the 'info.html' link before it was displayed. 2) Cleanup of /etc/hosts and CUPS configuration files. CUPS now works from the CD. 3) Fix for CD eject at 'reboot/halt'. Care still MUST be taken with the 'eject' command. By default it will 'eject' the Live-CD. Build_1_2 The changes in Buffalo-Live from 1.7.3-1 to 1.7.3-2 are very minor -- but can be annoying. 1) The CD 'Eject' script will actually eject the Live-CD! This removes the entire filesystem -- i.e. nothing functions after this. The change was to look for a '/mnt/live' directory, if found don't 'eject'. This means on systems with 2 CDs or a CD and DVD care must be taken to insure any 'eject' command does not address the Live-CD. 2) The directory '/var/log' was somehow set to 'root' only access. This means some scripts (like BuffaloSoftware) won't work. The fix is simply: chmod 755 /var/log (while superuser) 3) The PowerUser environment was still the old one. The fix is, (while in the default 'buffalo' home directory) tar czf /opt/buffalo/puser.tgz .??* * (while superuser) 4) The 'BuffaloISO' script is obsolete with the Buffalo-Live format. To suppress the item on the ICEWM menu execute: chmod 644 /usr/local/bin/BuffaloISO (while superuser)
